NYC Teachers Who Tutor is the nation’s preeminent tutoring company. While the goal of out-of-school work is to support what children are learning each day, it’s also to help them build skills like independence and responsibility, and to teach them how to create productive routines. These skills are essential for years to come, as kids progress from middle school to high school, college, and beyond. As parents, teachers, and tutors, we understand the increasingly complex landscape of education. Teachers Who Tutor offers one-on-one tutoring to support students across ages in curricular content, executive function, and test-preparation. We work with students in all five boroughs of New York, as well as remotely in New Jersey, Los Angeles, the Washington DC area, and around the world. Our sessions take place either at students’ homes or other convenient locations. Our Subjects of specialty include General Support (Homework Help, Executive Function Support, Academic Remediation, Academic Enrichment), Subject-Specific Support (Math, Science, English including Emergent Reading & Comprehension and Writing & Composition, History, and Languages such as French, Latin, Mandarin and Spanish), and Test Preparation (For elementary and middle school: Common Core exams; For high school: ISEE/SHSAT/SSAT; For college: ACT/SAT/SAT II SUBJECT TESTS/AP exams).
